The day started out cold this morning. No relaxing with coffee on the porch. That’s probably a good thing as I might not have wanted to go and check out the sales. So instead we headed out to find yard sales at 7am. We found quite a lot of sales for a Friday.
We stopped at a sale where the couple was selling out all their possessions and moving to Florida. From there they planned on getting a motor home and travel all over the country. A part of me envied them and I excouraged them when she said a lot of her people thought they were nuts. I think life is too short to not enjoy it. These lamps belonged to her father who had passed away two years ago.
It had had crystal drops at one time. I have bunches of extra crystals. Won’t the lamps be pretty when I replace the missing pieces?
Indiana Jones!
I saw lots of planters today. I love these cement planters.
And this garden cart is so cute.
Some little boy will love this backhoe.
I found a couple of things for the kitchen. Mortar and pestles are so popular. I think I just found a recipe that called for grinding some seasonings in one. I didn’t have one so I may have to keep this set.
This is the last thing I brought home. I think it might be bronze or maybe copper. The glass chiminey is gone. The wiring isn’t safe.
I cut out the wiring. It will need just a lttle work and then I think an African Violet would look beautiful in the center. Can you buy square candles? That might look good, too. However it ends up, it’s going to look so neat.
We’re going out again tomorrow. Hope I find something interesting to show you. Have your sales started up yet? Are you getting anxious to go out?
